Poem – Untitled

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing
Lightweight and blessed
One suddenly feels for the first time what it means to be caressed
Counting the days and feeling angry
A bitterness which tortures you daily
Don’t let it
Breathe in
And then out
No more wars
Let someone in
And love who you are again
Pick up your pen
Write that note
The person you are writing to
Greatly deserves it
They have waited very long
Do it before it is too late

  1. Sometimes I find that the greatest forgiveness is changing the way I behave, and not just saying words that if repeated to often lose their meaning. The words in your poem tho are far from being empty. Also it is a neat idea, perhaps writing a forgiveness letter to oneself? thank you!
